A lovely book. I definitely recommend it.

Die Stadt der Träumenden Bücher is a wonderful story in which is played with literature in a beautiful way. There are lots of references to German literary history, as this book not only tells the story of Hildegunst von Mythenmetz' adventures in Buchhaim, but also gives an overview of the so-called literary history of Zamonia. Fabulous! What I also love about this work is that it contains several poems. For example, there is a poem by a certain Hulgo Bla, a follower of 'Gagaism', which is clearly based on the German Hugo Ball, known for his Dadaist work.
